Notes: I said this was going to happen. In fact, I think I said it about an hour ago. I'm still working the bugs out, but I suspect this is going to turn out to be less straight Black Dog and more of some sort of Black Dog/Mother of Snakes combination Fear. Sebastian totally thinks it's a dog, here, though. I think this will end up turning into what's already manifested as his Demons in the Dark. Sort of a fear of people knowing what you once were or of waking up to discover that nothing has changed and that's still what you are. An eternity of self-doubt woven into justified terror of persecution for those hidden failings. The Eye, you say? Yeah, but not. It's nothing about actual wrongdoing. It's about wrong-being. It's about hiding the corruption you were given, that's been visited upon you, not hiding the corruption you've chosen. It's a post-Wooden Girl sort of fear. I'm seeing the Demons as some manifestation of post-traumatic stress disorder.

Feath, who I've been seeing a lot of, lately. So, I think this one establishes that I am very bad at owls, even when they are bright pink. It is to my lasting misfortune that the bird morphs I have (which aren't intended to be owls, anyway) do wicked-bad things to the eyes and chin. I've done some corrections, but I'm pretty sure the eyes still aren't big enough, and that's going to take a lot of screwing around to correct. Also, beaks do not work like lips. Apparently no amount of tweaking will make any of the smile sliders work properly, even just to get the corners of the mouth into a position that doesn't look like a displeased grimace. *sighs* I am very bad at owls.

I apparently never posted it, tho… If you're not familiar with the Fear Mythos, I encourage you to check out the Fear Mythos Wiki, which lists all the fears and … most of the projects that have used them. In particular, here's the writeups for the Mother of Snakes (fear of what you have become) and the Black Dog (fear of having your secrets revealed). I think they go well together, and I actually meant to start a Fear blog with the two of them working together, but it never really got off the ground.
