Title: Set: Freehold Kitchen
Fandom: Winter
Characters: N/A
Rating: G (L0 N0 S0 V0 D0)
Warnings: Wonky reflections. Weird shadows. No postwork.
Notes: So, they say that when one is a writer, one learns many, many things that are totally useless to one's life outside the story. I return this proposition: when one engages in building a world with internally-consistent parameters, one learns a whole lot of totally useless shit. Anyway, a few different angles of the room, with no characters, below the cut, along with a whole lot of ranting.

Title: Test: Brigid
Fandom: Winter
Characters: Brigid ♀
Rating: G (L0 N0 S0 V0 D0)
Warnings: Badly lit?
Notes: Brigid's the matriarch of the main house, on the goat farm upon which the exceptional number of Winter cousins live. (Granny O'Ruadhain's got the other house, away from the road.) She is most noted for her skill with a wooden spoon, having actually disarmed swordsmen with the thing. However, most often, it's just used for smacking the knuckles of anyone trying to taste her cooking before it's done. I'm going to screw around with trying to make her look a little older, since she should look like she's in her mid-40s to early-50s (and she's actually more than a thousand years old), and I'm … just not getting that to happen. I expect I'll only be able to dress her in dynamic cloth, as she's substantially overweight (not that you can really tell in this dress, which means I picked well) and none of the conforming outfits can handle it. *laughs* Nobody makes reasonable clothes for fat chicks. Not even 3d ones.

Title: August: Betting on the Fight
Fandom: Winter
Characters: Sullivan ♂, Maitiu ♂, Ciaran ♂, Cormac ♂
Rating: T (L0 N1 S0 V2 D0)
Warnings: Sully and Maitiu beating the piss out of each other. Glitchy edges.
Notes: This image is only glitchy if you're looking at it at max resolution. Printed, it's much smaller and way less weird. It's also composed of about a dozen layers, eight of which were rendered separately. I hate trees. Yes, I'm going to go back and try to smooth the branches a little, but I have to stop looking at this.

Title: January: Drinking the Devil's Wine
Fandom: Winter
Characters: Murphy ♀, Maitiu ♂
Rating: M (L0 N3 S0 V0 D1)
Warnings: Champagne. Also, some church-style edits to a nude painting. ARTFUL SHADOWS, DAMMIT.
Notes: So, this took me two days, mostly because I fell asleep yesterday, slept like a dead man, and then woke up to some sincerely bizarre dreams. That said, it's the fireplace that nearly killed me, here. All the corners are hand-edited, because the texture didn't line up. Same with the wall. If anything's spectacularly horrible, let me know.

Title: April: Sulking Over Soup
Fandom: Winter
Characters: Ciaran, Cormac
Rating: G- (L0 N1 S0 V0 D0)
Warnings: Shirtless dude sulking in bed.
Notes: Cormac's had something that disagrees with him, most violently. Probably something he drank, which makes it almost inevitably something his cousins distilled. His malice is not entirely out of place, here. Yes, I'm missing part of a shadow. I'll get that later.

Title: November: Domhnall's Grave
Fandom: Winter
Characters: Ceallach, Cormac, Clover
Rating: G- (L0 N1 S0 V0 D0)
Warnings: Shirtless dude.
Notes: Oh, you see a month in that title. You know what that means I'm doing, this year… Anyway, I finally finished this bloody bastard thing. Let me know if you spot anything glaringly wrong, before it goes to press, pleeeease? Plants mangled together with some awesome brushes from Obsidian Dawn, and some pattern overlay.

Title: Domhnall's Grave
Fandom: Winter
Characters: Ceallach, Clover
Rating: G (L0 N0 S0 V0 D0)
Warnings: None
Notes: It's a sneak peek at something else I'm working on, in the background. This will probably end up being shot in four pieces and pasted back together. I saved this one, because I think I'm done screwing around with Ceallach, so unless I change the lights, he's safe to copy/paste. Clover's hair and I hate each other. So far, the image is still short … probably Cormacc and a whole bunch of gravestones, but I've been working on it for twenty-two of the last twenty eight hours, and I have to do something else, for a while.

Title: Dancing on the Bones of Her Enemies
Fandom:Winter
Characters: Murphy
Rating: G (L0 N0 S0 V0 D0)
Warnings: Bones, no blood, no violence.
Notes: I love this skirt. Well, no. I hate the skirt, itself, because I loathe working with skirts that aren't dynamic, but it's got fantastic textures. I mean, look at that! I shot it sort of small, because that mail shirt is glitchy as hell at higher resolutions. Also, very dark. Much better looking on an LCD screen.

Title: Sibling Rivalry
Fandom: Winter
Characters: Murphy, Maitiu
Rating: G- (L0 N1 S0 V0 D0)
Warnings: A dude in a greatkilt.
Notes: Actually, I'm lying through my teeth. That's not a greatkilt, it's a dirty hackjob. Doesn't look too horrible, even if it is the wrong cloth weight and it doesn't drape quite right… Also, her teeth are too bright and his hair is a little plasticky. Murphy and Maitiu are a pair of Sidhe warriors, sister and brother. She likes night raids, and he loves setting towns on fire. Recently, she's gotten much more practical and solution-oriented, and he's gotten a whole lot whinier.

Title: Test: Finnegan
Fandom: Winter
Characters: Finnegan O'Ruadhain
Rating: G- (L0 N1 S0 V0 D0)
Warnings: A dude in a loincloth with a pike.
Notes: So, like… months ago, I said I was going to add a couple of Redcaps to my repertoire. Finnegan and Sullivan were the obvious choices, since they've already appeared in a few scenes. You'll notice this character and the next one I'm about to do will look a whole lot alike, but it's because they're brothers. Finnegan's actually the tall and skinny one, for certain values of 'tall' and 'skinny', which really only make sense after you see Sullivan. Notice the iron boots and iron pike. Finnegan breaks with tradition, a bit, in that he doesn't wear a hat, but the rag tied around his forehead is soaked in blood, although I need to tweak the colour a little more so it's dried blood colour, instead of mud colour. These are going to be labelled 'Winter', instead of 'Potterverse', despite having only appeared in Death Eater-related scenes, until this point, because they're not really mythos-specific, and will fit pretty much anywhere you've got room to stick Redcaps.
