Title: Amelda (Alister) Test Frame
Fandom: Yu-Gi-Oh
Characters: Amelda (Alister)
Rating: G- (L0 N1 S0 V0 D0)
Warnings: None
Notes: I'm waiting on one last response before I do the final image for the other commission that I've been sitting on for two weeks, so, in the mean time, here's a test frame for a request that's sitting in my inbox. I don't know the series; I don't know the character; I just got one smutty fan-art reference image and a request. Three hair props, ladies and gents. THREE. (And none of them originally intended for use on this base model.) Y SO COMPLICATED, ANIME HAIR?

Title: KusacWolf (Test Frame)
Fandom: N/A
Characters: KusacWolf
Rating: G- (L0 N1 S0 V0 D0)
Warnings: Anthro wolf/dragon
Notes: I'm … about eighteen and a half hours into the textures on this commission. Four of six are done, and none of the displacement maps. If anyone was wondering why I've been considering raising my commission prices? This would be why. Seriously considering a texture surcharge, so I can get my hourly up over $1 on jobs like this one.

Title: On Magic and Magical Effects
Fandom: Magelight Chronicles
Characters: N/A
Rating: G- (L1 N0 S0 V0 D0)
Warnings: Poorly written in half an hour.
Notes: So, as some of you know, I've been working on Magelight both as a book and as an RP setting, because there's nothing like other people playing with your toys to let you know where the gaping holes are in the setting. One of those gaping holes that came to my attention was the fact that, for a fantasy setting, magic was pretty poorly defined, in terms of who could do what with what to whom else. This isn't the OMG FINAL ANSWER on the subject, but it starts to address the topic and straighten out some basics. Yes, the document is ugly. It's a gDocs embed. I can't really change the colours.

Title: Something Old, Something New
Fandom: Magelight
Characters: Ice, Frost, Yaz
Rating: G- (L0 N1 S0 V0 D0)
Warnings: Sword. Large cat.
Notes: So, I was working with the Inn. Seems I can only get one figure at a time to render in it, or it just crashes, trying. This makes me unhappy. I tried saving the set out as a single .obj file, because sometimes that helps. Yeah, except the part where it completely mis-applied half the textures. Anyway, here's one with Frost, one half-posed test-shot with Frost and Yaz (miracle of miracles) and one completely unrelated shot that I finally got halfway right, after poking it on and off since like … March.

Title: Gaslight, Motherfucker! Do You Speak It?
Fandom: Magelight Chronicles
Characters: None
Rating: G (L0 N0 S0 V0 D0)
Warnings: None
Notes: It's just a bar. Nobody's in it, or anything, but I built it out of spare parts from probably a dozen other things. Yes, the candles suck. Candles usually suck, until I fake them in post. The lighting, however, does not suck… Yet. And yes, something about irony. Title of this post and the fact I'm using candles has not escaped me. I haven't figured out how to drop the candles and edit for gas, because that involves some significant fuckery, for which I am presently too lazy. I'm shocked this place even renders at all. If it renders with people -in- it, without crashing? I'll be actually impressed. Note that this is only the left third of the bar, and not all of even that.

I got less lazy. Second image is gaslight. Quality is debatable, but I still managed it.

Title: November and March
Fandom: Magelight Chronicles
Characters: Dark, Ice, Frost
Rating: G- (L0 N1 S0 V0 D1)
Warnings: Smokin' fag smoking a fag. Frost looks way too good in that mini.
Notes: I'm trying to re-frame some old stuff as potential calendar pieces. Alleycats and Morning After, so far. Alleycats as a full-page and Morning After as a 2/3. No post on either of these, yet. Yes, Ice's hair is totally screwed up. Yes, I have a way to fix that in post.

Title: Triptych – Ice
Fandom: Magelight Chronicles
Characters: Emoric, Ice, Margery
Rating: G- (L1 N0 S0 V0 D0)
Warnings: None
Notes: I'm really not sure about how Emoric came out. I'm thinking there's still something subtly wrong in the angles, there. Margery may also need stays, if I can find something suitable. But, here you go. Ice and his dead loves.

Title: Triptych – Dark
Fandom: Magelight
Characters: Dark, Genie, Jackass
Rating: G- (L1 N0 S0 V0 D0)
Warnings: Poorly-rendered scars.
Notes: *gasp* The actual villain is in this one! Well, I mean, not that the heroes are that far from villainy, but still… Dark and his past, for your viewing pleasure. Base images only, no postwork. Click them to make them larger.

Title: Fifteen Two – WIP
Fandom: Magelight Chronicles
Characters: Dark, Ice
Rating: G- (L0 N0 S0 V0 D1)
Warnings:Smokin' fag smoking a fag?
Notes: More cribbage, now with better lighting, actual reflections, and glass that looks like … well … plastic. *sighs* It's better, though, and most of the shadow glitches can be fixed in post.
