Title: The Flies
Rating: T
Warnings: Blasphemy, flies, death, angst
Notes: I dunno. It sounds a lot better than it looks. It’s got lots of shouty bits. Found this one, undated, in Chrissie’s handwriting, which gives me a little bit of a clue.

I sold my soul to Satan for a bottle of beer
What will become of me?
I sold my soul to Lucifer to have my woman near
What will become of me?

==
And when I die it stands that I will be consumed by flies
And when I die I know that I will be consumed by flies
==

Here I stand, upon my knees without a dying prayer
What will become of me?
And if I threw my self before the good god’s gaping lair
What would become of me?

==
And when I die it stands that I will be consumed by flies
And when I die I know that I will be consumed by flies
==

As I lay down, my heart in hand, to my eternal sleep
I wonder what will become of me
I lay my head upon the ground beneath the lemon tree
Wondering what will become of me

==
And when I die it stands that I will be consumed by flies
And when I die I know that I will be consumed by flies
==

In every waking dream I saw her standing by the shore
God help me. What will become of me?
She haunted me until my eyes would not close anymore
So tell me, what will become of me?

==
And when I die it stands that I will be consumed by flies
And when I die I know that I will be consumed by flies
==

And when the devil came to me to offer me her hand
I wondered, what will become of me?
But what worse could come to me in this barren desperate land?
I doubted what would become of me

==
And when I die it stands that I will be consumed by flies
And when I die I know that I will be consumed by flies
==

And now I die, it stands that I will be consumed by flies
And from the barren ground I see the darkening of the skies
And now I die, it stands that have been consumed by flies
For in those darkest moments I believed in all the lies…
